Last week, Pantone announced their Color of the Year for 2015, Marsala, and it’s a beaut!
Marsala is a beautiful earthy red. I’m a little obsessed with it. I’ve heard it said that some think it’s too much of a specifically autumn color, but I disagree. I think it pairs well with aqua for a summer wedding, or shades of pink and purple for a spring wedding!
You can add Marsala to your wedding in many ways, and the Dessy Group offers a whole line of bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen accessories in the full spectrum of Pantone colors. My bridesmaids wore dresses from the Pantone line, and our groomsmen wore matching pocket squares. Great colors and great quality!

Meg Cameron of Begin Your Forever says, “Marsala, the Pantone Color of the Year for 2015 is inspired by the wine, so of course a beautiful winery is the basis for my Marsala Inspired Event. The Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyard offers a perfect setting for this stunning affair. To lighten up the earthy autumn tone to be used for any season, the Marsala wine red can be paired with peach and pink tones, which compliment the color fabulously.”

Here is what she says about her classic take on Marsala: “It is a very warm and timeless color and will be ideal for any combination – whether it is to soften colors on a summer wedding or warm up a winter wedding!”
What do you think of Marsala? Will it be making an appearance in your wedding color scheme? Love it or Loathe it?
Let me hear you in the comments!
