If it’s Not Moving…Monogram It!

I am SO with Reese on this one.

You guys, I think I need a 12 step program or something. In between planning the wedding, and writing this blog, and running my business, I have been, um…shopping. Mostly on Etsy. Mostly for gifts. And mostly for monogramed things.

I rationally know that these are not always the best gifts to buy people, because, well, they can’t return it if they hate it. But I can’t stop myself. I secretly wish I were buying monogrammed things for myself, I think. Especially since I have now settled on a married name. (Yay!) My new monogram will be RDS (first name, LAST name, middle name). In case you are following along, that means I am changing both my middle and last names. This also means I need new monogrammed things!

Like, a new bathrobe! Bob the Builder bought me one for Christmas years ago, but I’m gonna get a new one, after the wedding. Because reasons.

Instead of buying every single monogrammed thing that I want on Etsy, I am going to put the credit card away and just share my finds with you here. Please note: I haven’t purchased any of these items as gifts for anyone. What fun would it be to give a gift that I already blogged about? No fun at all, I tell you.

We already have a cake topper, but I still want this one anyway. Because I have a sickness. And the only cure is more monograms!!!!

I love this clutch purse. I love the color (it’s one of the wedding colors, don’t ya know!) and I want it. End. Of. Story.

OK. Truth? I hate bracelets. Actually, I don’t like anything on my wrists at all. But this hasn’t stopped me from pinning this on Pinterest four different times. I am a crazy person.

Who wouldn’t want this? I mean, come ON.

Adorable. I’d probably break it, but I still must have it.

The fact that I live in Los Angeles, and will probably only get to wear a fleece maybe two months out of the year does not deter me from wanting this. But in red. Not in white.

And the final object of my monogrammed obsession, the thing that I absolutely will not let myself buy:

Ok, technically, this is not a monogram. But, it is completely personalized! Your wedding venue, names, date, font color, skin color, and hair color are all customizable. I want this SO badly for our house. I’ve also pinned this like six different times. But, alas, it is not cheap – or even in the neighborhood of cheap – and so I must not buy it. MUST. NOT. PURCHASE. IT.

Le Sigh…

So…anyone else obsessed with their new monogram? Share with me your monogrammed favorites! (So I can pin them and buy them after the wedding…duh.)

      Right? The poster is amazing!
I’m hiding all the credit cards until further notice too.
      Too tempting!
